Finance and Accounting Consultant

Based in Manhattan, Citrin Cooperman Advisors LLC invites a Finance and Accounting Consultant to join its Advisory Department. This hands-on staff role supports engagement tasks, builds knowledge of the client's business, and helps produce deliverables such as financial statements, reconciliations, cash postings, and internal audits. The position offers a salary range of USD 59,000 to 72,000 per year and requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with a Senior to complete engagement tasks in a timely manner
• Develop a working knowledge of the client’s business operations
• Assemble workpapers and deliver the specified outputs assigned
• Generate financial statements when required
• Review balance sheet accounts and prepare reconciliations
• Post daily cash transactions and ensure timely cash reconciliations
• Conduct periodic internal audits on designated activities to verify compliance with internal controls
• Engage with various team members and clients across multiple engagements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
• Advanced computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Commitment to delivering superior client service
• Excellent time management, and strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and complete engagements within deadlines
• Highly motivated, self-starter, and dependable
• Capability to supervise several engagements simultaneously
