Finance Director
Job Description
Converse County Aging Services is hiring an experienced Finance Director to lead nonprofit financial operations for programs serving older adults in Converse County.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations.
- Prepare, monitor, and support organizational budgets.
- Create financial reports for leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Monitor cash flow, revenues, and expenditures.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
- Support payroll and related financial processes.
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and other financial professionals.
- Support the annual audit.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, efficiency, reporting, and accountability.
- Provide financial information and analysis to support organizational decision-making.
Requirements
- Strong accounting and financial management skills.
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger activity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial staff and leadership.
- Strong computer and financial software skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Experience in nonprofit accounting, healthcare, human services, senior services, government, or community-based organizations is highly valued.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, with relevant professional experience; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary: $70,000 annually (consideration given to experience and qualifications).
- Pay: From $70,000.00 per year.
