Finance Director (Nonprofit- Senior Center)
Job Description
Converse County Aging Services (CCAS) is seeking a Finance Director to lead the financial operations for a nonprofit serving older adults across Douglas & Glenrock, Wyoming. This onsite role in Cheyenne, WY 82003 will oversee accounting, budgeting, reporting, cash flow, and internal controls, while partnering with leadership, the Board of Directors, auditors, and community stakeholders.
The Finance Director will manage day-to-day finance functions and provide clear financial information and analysis to support organizational decisions, including preparation for the annual audit and ongoing improvements to systems, efficiency, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations.
- Prepare and monitor organizational budgets.
- Prepare financial reports for leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Monitor cash flow, revenues, and expenditures.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
- Support payroll and related financial processes.
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial professionals.
- Support the annual audit.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, efficiency, reporting, and accountability.
- Provide financial information and analysis to support organizational decisions.
Requirements
- Strong accounting and financial management skills.
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger activity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial staff and leadership.
- Strong computer and financial software skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary: $70,000 per year, with consideration given to experience and qualifications.

Additional Information
Experience in nonprofit accounting, healthcare, human services, senior services, government, or community-based organizations is highly valued. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant professional experience; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
