Finance Director (Nonprofit- Senior Center)
Job Description
Converse County Aging Services is seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead the organization’s financial operations and provide decision-support to leadership. This in-person role is based in Fort Collins, CO and includes budgeting, reporting, cash flow monitoring, AP/AR management, internal controls, and coordination with auditors and external finance professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations for the organization.
- Prepare, monitor, and support organizational budgets.
- Produce financial reports for leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Monitor cash flow, revenues, and expenditures.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
- Support payroll and related financial processes.
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and other financial professionals.
- Support the annual audit.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, efficiency, reporting, and accountability.
- Provide financial information and analysis to support organizational decisions.
Requirements
- Strong accounting and financial management skills.
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
- Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger activity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial staff and leadership.
- Strong computer and financial software skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Salary and Pay
Starting salary: USD 70,000 per year. Consideration is given to experience and qualifications. Pay range: from $70,000.00 per year.
