Job Description
Converse County Aging Services is seeking a Finance Director to oversee financial operations for a nonprofit serving older adults across Converse County. This onsite role in Boise, ID 83701 provides an annual starting salary of $70,000, with consideration for experience and qualifications, and a benefits package that supports your health, time away, and retirement goals.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage day-to-day financial operations and provide financial information that supports leadership and Board-level decisions.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations
- Prepare and monitor organizational budgets
- Prepare financial reports for leadership and the Board of Directors
- Monitor cash flow, revenues, and expenditures
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation
- Support payroll and related financial processes
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial professionals
- Support the annual audit
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, efficiency, reporting, and accountability
- Provide financial information and analysis to support organizational decisions
Requirements
- Strong accounting and financial management skills
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger activity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial staff and leadership
- Strong computer and financial software skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Experience
Experience in nonprofit accounting, healthcare, human services, senior services, government, or community-based organizations is highly valued.
