Finance Director (Nonprofit- Senior Center) (Relocation to Douglas, WY Required!)

Converse County Aging Services is seeking a Finance Director to lead nonprofit financial operations that support older adults across Converse County. Working in partnership with the Executive Director, staff, the Board of Directors, auditors, and community partners, this role ensures budgets, reporting, cash flow, and internal controls are handled with care and accuracy.

This position is based in Douglas, Wyoming and requires in-person work. The starting salary is $70,000+ per year, with benefits in accordance with CCAS policies.

Role Overview

• Oversee day-to-day nonprofit financial operations for services supporting older adults throughout Converse County.
• Provide leadership with timely financial information and analysis to support organizational decisions.
• Partner with external accountants and auditors and support the annual audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor, and assist with organizational budgets.
• Develop and present financial reports for leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Monitor cash flow, revenues, and expenditures.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Support payroll and related financial processes.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, efficiency, reporting, and accountability.

Required Qualifications

• Strong accounting and financial management skills.
• Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger activity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial staff and leadership.
• Strong computer and financial software skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
• Nonprofit accounting experience is highly valued, including experience in healthcare, human services, senior services, government, or community-based organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, with relevant professional experience. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
