Job Description

Join Amazon as a Finance Manager within the Echo program, collaborating with the Alexa Sales & Marketing Finance team in Amazon Devices & Services. This onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA centers on financial planning, forecasting, and delivering actionable business insights for Echo device programs and go to market initiatives. You will influence pricing, promotions, and lifecycle profitability through cross functional partnership, enabling data driven decisions that support growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the profit and loss for designated Echo device programs, including revenue forecasts, cost modeling (bill of materials and promotional spend), and variance tracking across OP1/OP2, QBR, and MBR planning windows.
  • Lead financial planning for sales events, sizing deal economics, determining promotional spend, and delivering post event performance summaries to the leadership team.
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate pricing strategies, MSRP changes, and channel mix optimization.
  • Provide weekly and monthly business review inputs with highlights, lowlights, and forward looking risk and opportunity callouts with quantified financial impact.
  • Drive cost reduction and margin improvement initiatives by identifying structural cost trends (BOM escalation, rate variance) and partnering cross functionally on mitigation plans.
  • Develop and automate reporting solutions that accelerate speed to insight for the broader finance and business team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
  • 5+ years across multiple finance and accounting roles.
  • 5+ years applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
  • 5+ years building financial and operational reports and data sets that inform business decision making.
  • 5+ years creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
  • 5+ years participating in continuous improvement projects to scale controllership with measurable results.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
  • 5+ years dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
  • 5+ years leading cross functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating and implementing an escalation plan.
  • 5+ years solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with proven impact on business outcomes.
  • MBA or CPA credential.
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and interpreting data results.
