Job Description
FAAS Manager – Finance Optimization at EY focuses on controllership process improvements, controls design, automation, and analytics to enhance clients' finance functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead client interviews and workshops to assess controllership processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design and implement strategies for controllership improvement, including process redesign, controls redesign, and automation.
- Engage with the client and internal stakeholders to assess the controllership function and plan for scaling or transformation aligned with goals, including AI, automation, and ERP implementations.
- Develop and apply risk and controls frameworks and remediate control deficiencies.
- Understand and articulate the accounting and controls implications of changes to controllership processes.
- Interpret analytics results from the client’s finance data to provide insights that drive efficiency and process improvements.
- Apply knowledge of how operational activities impact the record-to-report process.
- Improve controllership processes across scenarios such as transformations, finance integrations, and public offerings.
- Provide clients with accounting assistance or transaction support as needed.
- Lead project management activities and coordinate project teams.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to client proposals.
- Foster trust and collaboration across EY service lines and with external clients.
- Mentor, coach, and develop junior staff members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in public accounting, financial advisory, industry, or related fields.

- Competitive compensation with base salary ranges: US-wide 112,700 to 206,500; NYC Metro, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) 135,200 to 234,800. Individual salaries are determined based on multiple factors.
