Job Description
Pilgrim's invites a Financial Analyst to join the Protein Regional Accounting team onsite in Pittsburg, TX. In this role, you will partner with the Regional Accounting Manager to drive month-end close, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting across cross-functional initiatives with Accounting, Operations, and Corporate teams. The position carries a salary range of USD 58,015 to 70,488 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree along with three years of relevant experience.
Role summary
The Financial Analyst supports month-end close activities, budgeting processes, forecasting, and comprehensive financial analysis under the guidance of the Protein Regional Accounting Manager. This position collaborates across Accounting, Operations, and Corporate teams to advance cross-functional initiatives and ensure accurate reporting.
Responsibilities
- Examine daily financial and operations data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate and consolidate weekly financial estimates and accompanying narratives for business unit reporting.
- Produce and distribute weekly and monthly financial performance reports.
- Create ad hoc financial analyses and reports for Accounting, Corporate, and Operations leadership.
- Assist in preparing and posting monthly journal entries.
- Review financial reports for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Coordinate information collection for quarterly operational reviews.
- Support the Regional Accounting Manager with monthly budgeting, forecasting, and financial review processes.
- Gather KPI data and develop financial presentations for management review.
- Assist in preparing and analyzing the annual operating budget.
- Ensure alignment with company policies, GAAP, and internal controls.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a financial analyst, accounting, or related role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and standard financial reporting practices.
- Basic understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and internal control requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
- Proven adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
