Job Description
The Financial Analyst role will support Alliance Physical Therapy Partners with core finance operations, including financial close activities, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, cash management, and business performance analysis. This position works in a hybrid setup based in Grand Rapids, MI and supports leadership visibility through regular and ad hoc analysis.
Location and Work Setup

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans, including Cash, Productivity, Margin, Growth, Optimization, Efficiency, Proforma, and detailed Variance analysis.
- Analyze financial results versus budget, forecast, and prior-year performance, and provide recommendations and insights.
- Identify key business drivers and recommend actions to improve financial performance, partnering with operating teams and taking an ownership-focused approach to analysis.
- Produce monthly and ad hoc reports for field and board audiences, as directed by the Finance Manager and Controller.
- Support month-end and quarter-end reporting processes, including reconciliations, M&A close processes, flux analysis, and complicated reserve and financial estimate work.
- Conduct financial due diligence and build financial models to support the company’s M&A activity.
- Partner with cross-functional teams.
Reporting and Performance Translation
The Analyst will generate standard weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting for the Management team to strengthen visibility into the drivers of business performance. Reporting will be translated into action plans intended to support favorable outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience required.
- Advanced degree is a plus.
- Expert Excel skills.
- Experience with MS Great Plains or MS Dynamics is preferable.
- Experience with BI tools (Solver, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is a plus.
- Demonstrated self-starter mindset with a proactive approach to proposing and implementing improvements.
- Hands-on work style with comfort working through detail while maintaining awareness of the broader picture; ability to shift between tactical and strategic needs.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage a demanding, changing workload while providing accurate and reliable data.
- Strong attention to detail and steadiness under pressure.
- Solid communication and presentation skills, including comfort interacting with senior management on a regular basis.
