Job Description

Drive pricing and profitability decisions for Workplace Investing by building models, evaluating scenarios, and partnering with sales and finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assess pricing and profitability for core market prospects and existing clients
  • Design market-competitive pricing strategies to support client acquisition and retention, improve product utilization, and optimize profitability
  • Provide ongoing updates to pricing issues, risks, and recommendations to sales, relationship management, segment leaders, and finance
  • Review prospect and client pricing requests from sales and relationship management, evaluating fees, market competitiveness, and long-term profitability
  • Build financial models and pricing proposals aligned with business guidelines to support the sales organization in winning new clients
  • Evaluate repricing requests as plan and participant conditions change, including product offering, fee structure, and other underlying assumptions
  • Use client-specific metrics to challenge assumptions and help confirm projected profitability and required fees
  • Analyze financial information and develop alternative pricing scenarios to improve win rate, strengthen retention, minimize risk, and enhance profitability
  • Present pricing proposals, strategy, and positioning with key business partners and pricing team management
  • Continuously prioritize requests based on factors such as request age, need for additional approvals, and client or advisor urgency
  • Raise pricing issues, trends, and operational improvement opportunities as appropriate
  • Support ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

  • College degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • 2 - 3 years of work and/or internship experience in a Finance role (minimum 2 years)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with significant emphasis on Excel
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving ability
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence senior-level positions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
  • Ability to collaborate with team members
  • Initiative to identify and solve operational improvement and efficiency opportunities

Technology

  • Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Location and Work Model

  • Covington, KY (onsite)
  • Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles
  • Some roles and locations currently require 100% onsite while others require less
  • Onsite expectations may change as the rollout continues
  • This transition does not apply to fully remote roles
