Financial Auditor

This onsite position with Evolve HR LLC offers a salary range of USD 84,900 to 103,000 per year along with health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits, plus paid time off and professional development support.

What you’ll do

In this Financial Auditor position, you will examine financial records and support internal compliance and audit activities that align with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. You will help identify risks, document evidence, and communicate findings in a way that supports practical financial management.

• Plan and conduct internal financial compliance audits and internal or external audits using applicable Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Review corporate accounting, general ledger accounting, financial accounting, tax processes, and regulatory reporting for accuracy and compliance.
• Evaluate internal controls and risk management practices, including alignment with the COSO framework and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
• Prepare clear financial report writing, document audit evidence, and present findings along with practical recommendations.
• Coordinate audit work and support team management, including managing auditors when assigned.

What you bring

• Experience in accounting, auditing, public accounting, or financial audit associate work; financial services or governmental accounting experience is useful.
• Knowledge of technical accounting, financial concepts, financial compliance, and internal controls management.
• Ability to analyze records, communicate findings, and manage competing audit priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting or financial software.
• Tax experience and experience leading audit teams are preferred; equivalent relevant experience is welcome.
