Financial Controller

This full time, on site Financial Controller role is based in Little Rock, Arkansas and reports to the CFO. You will lead accounting operations, oversee financial reporting, and manage grant accounting to ensure timely and accurate financial information. The position blends hands on accounting leadership with the opportunity to shape systems and processes in support of organizational growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting processes to maintain accurate, timely, and compliant financial records
• Provide clear, timely, and accurate financial reporting and analysis to support organizational decision making
• Ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance for all grants and restricted funds
• Continuously improve financial systems and processes to support organizational growth
• Promote teamwork through collaboration, support, and communication, while pursuing personal and professional development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 4+ years in a nonprofit accounting or finance role
• Experience with accrual accounting and grant reporting/management
• CPA is preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles
• Proven experience with month end close and financial reporting
• Grant accounting and fund tracking experience preferred
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in accounting software and systems, especially QuickBooks and Ramp
• Advanced skills in Excel and Google Suite
• Commitment to the value of cultural competency
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Maintain CPR, First Aid, and other program certifications as determined by the program
