Financial Controller
Job Description
Lead corporate financial operations for SilverPoint Senior Living’s headquarters, partnering with executive leadership across reporting, forecasting, and accounting controls.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable (AP), general ledger (GL), reconciliations, and monthly close
- Produce timely, accurate financial reporting including P&L, balance sheet, inventory, and product profitability
- Manage financial planning, forecasting, and cash management
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls
- Assess and improve financial systems, reporting workflows, and month-end close processes
- Prepare monthly profit and loss and financial statements for community owners, the executive team, and ownership reviews
- Handle tax form preparation and filing, including 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, W-2, K-1, sales tax filings, and property tax exemption application filings
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide requested materials for the annual audit
- Serve as a liaison between finance, the executive team, and ownership groups
- Manage corporate insurance policy renewals, modifications, and claims
- Direct cash management practices and ensure appropriate controls to safeguard cash
- Supervise and develop the accounting team
- Own inventory accounting, including reporting and valuation
Requirements
- B.S. in Accounting or B.S. in Business Administration
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- MBA preferred
- Demonstrated experience in cash management and financial report writing
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting principles
- Proficiency with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including balance sheet reconciliation
- Experience with regulatory reporting and general ledger accounting
- Long-term care experience is essential
- Working knowledge of financial software including QuickBooks or Sage
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong experience with financial systems and accounting-related software
- Effective communicator and collaborative leader with the ability to work independently and interact professionally with employees at all levels

Work Schedule and Location

- Work location: Hybrid remote in New Braunfels, TX 78130
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote (after onboarding and training at office)
Compensation
- Salary: USD 115,000 - 120,000 per year
