Financial Crimes Sr. Product Owner / Sr. Business Analyst

Bank of America is seeking a Financial Crimes Sr. Product Owner / Sr. Business Analyst in Charlotte, NC to support technology products used by Financial Crimes operations and investigations. In this role, you will work across business, technology, and operations teams to shape product strategy, translate requirements into actionable delivery items, and help improve efficiency, user experience, and business outcomes.

This is an onsite position in the United States (1st shift) with an expected 40 hours per week, requiring strong Agile execution, requirement analysis, and data-driven product thinking.

What You’ll Do

• Define and execute product vision, strategy, and roadmap for applications supporting Financial Crimes investigations and operations, maximizing value delivered to business partners and end users.
• Deliver initiatives using Agile practices by maintaining a well-defined product backlog, applying a prioritization framework, and managing a release roadmap aligned to business objectives.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for complex technology initiatives, translating needs into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze data, business processes, and application performance metrics to generate insights, identify trends, and drive strategic product and process improvements.
• Coordinate and influence stakeholders across business, operations, technology, and leadership to align on product roadmaps, priorities, risks, and key decisions.
• Act as a subject matter expert for assigned products and business processes, guiding innovation and supporting strategic decision-making.
• Own end-to-end product risk through preventive controls, monitoring activities, issue identification, and remediation to reduce recurring issues and support operational stability.
• Manage a portfolio of technology applications used by Financial Crimes teams, balancing competing priorities, resource capacity, timelines, and delivery commitments.
• Partner with technology teams through solution design, development, testing, implementation, production support, and ongoing platform enhancements to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and user acceptance testing activities, using tools including Jira, SQL, Teradata, Hadoop, and Microsoft Office for delivery support, data analysis, and change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Product Management, Technology Delivery, or a related discipline.
• Experience managing technology products, applications, or platforms in an Agile environment.
• Strong experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
• Experience using Jira for backlog management, Agile delivery, and change management.
• Experience developing and executing test scripts and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Strong data analysis skills, including querying data with SQL.
• Experience working with large-scale data platforms such as Teradata and Hadoop.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, project timelines, and delivery dependencies in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Financial Crimes, including AML, KYC, Fraud, Sanctions, or Compliance organizations.
• Experience with process improvement, workflow automation, and technology transformation initiatives.
• Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
