Job Description

The Financial Manager - Level 5 will guide the program finance function for the F-16 production contracts at Lockheed Martin, delivering strategic financial leadership and actionable insights across the program lifecycle while collaborating with program managers and other functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and develop a finance organization focused on accurate forecasting and program performance analysis.
  • Oversee finance personnel involved in proposal development, pricing negotiations, and contract support.
  • Manage program execution activities, profitability assessments, and OSEC commitments (Orders, Sales, EBIT, Cash).
  • Account for Earned Value Management (EVM) and prepare internal and external program reporting.
  • Own the financial performance lifecycle, including creation, upkeep, and execution of program Estimates at Completion (EACs).
  • Lead the Contract Status Review (CSR), Long-Range Plan (LRP) process, and monthly and quarterly financial reviews.
  • Apply broad business acumen across proposals, contracts, estimating, financial planning and analysis, independent cost estimating, and EVM.
  • Partner with Program Managers and functional teams to provide accurate, compliant financial insight and actionable recommendations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Communicate clearly with executive stakeholders to deliver timely financial information that informs decision making.

Requirements

  • Experience leading and mentoring a diverse program finance team within a dynamic program environment.
  • Proficiency with enterprise cost management tools such as SAP, Cobra, Compass, Open Plan, and similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with Long Range Planning, contractual documents and requirements, Earned Value Management and program financial controls.
  • Experience with the Lockheed Martin CSR process.

Ability to Work Remotely

The role supports part-time remote telework. The selected candidate will work some portion of the schedule remotely and some portion at a Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly arrangement will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules

Lockheed Martin offers various alternate work schedules to provide flexibility. Standard 40 hours over five days is available, along with condensed schedules that provide additional time away from the office in addition to paid time off benefits.

You are a seasoned finance professional with substantial government or aerospace program finance experience, especially in production settings. You have a track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams, and you bring strong expertise in proposals, contracts, cost estimating, financial planning and analysis, independent cost estimating, and earned value management.
