Financial Planner
Job Description
Cornerstone Financial Group, LLC is hiring a Financial Planner for the Omaha, NE office to build new client relationships while partnering closely with senior firm leaders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meeting materials, financial plans, and analysis ahead of client conversations
- Manage client follow-up after decisions are made
- Support senior partners in delivering the firm’s comprehensive planning process across retirement income, investments, tax strategy, and estate considerations
- Meet with prospective new clients and manage relationships from first meeting through ongoing service
- Collaborate with a shared support team to help ensure consistent and timely client service
- Work directly with senior partners to improve internal financial planning, investment advice, and operational processes as the firm grows
- Stay current on planning strategies, industry-leading technology, financial markets, and tax law changes
- Contribute to meeting preparation, financial plan development, investment reporting, and portfolio design
- Provide ongoing client support and communication
- Participate in client meetings alongside senior partners
Requirements
- CFP® certification is highly preferred
- If not yet certified: significant progress toward the designation plus a demonstrated track record leading client relationships in a planning-focused environment
- CPA, EA, or CFA credentials will receive preference
- Comfort taking ownership of complex, detail-heavy planning tasks independently (retirement planning, portfolio analysis, tax projections, and estate coordination)
- Preferred experience with Charles Schwab or Altruist, Orion Advisor Services, Right Capital, Redtail, Holistiplan, Microsoft Office Suite, and general AI prompting
- Fiduciary mindset and genuine interest in positive client outcomes
- Self-starter who can take on new challenges, develop solutions that can be shared with teammates, and is excited to grow with a small team

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $80,000 to $105,000 per year
- Bonus: up to 10% based on experience and qualifications
- Potential future compensation adjustments based on led client relationships and new client growth
