Job Description
Grow from licensing-ready to client-facing advisor impact in an onsite role in Ann Arbor, MI. As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), you’ll complete required securities licensing, build foundational advisor skills, and then move toward working in a financial center where you help deliver core banking, investment solutions, and a client care approach designed around long-term financial wellbeing.
This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements for residential loan mortgage originations.
What you’ll be doing
- Obtain required securities licenses, including dedicated and personalized classes for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams.
- Acquire, build, and manage client relationships.
- Review a client’s complex financial picture and guide clients with advice and solutions to support their best financial outcomes.
- After reaching key milestones, begin working in a financial center to help deliver Bank of America’s core banking, investment solutions, and client care.
- Use a defined consultative approach to identify client needs systematically and match appropriate solutions.
- Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice, deliver client reviews or presentations with confidence, and recommend strategies aligned to clients’ financial goals and life priorities.
- Collaborate with core banking and investment partners to connect clients to Bank of America and Merrill solutions to meet virtually all financial needs.
- When success as a licensed Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I is demonstrated, typically progress into Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II.
Licensing and onboarding support
You’ll be supported through world-class training and onboarding programs.
- Receive training and one-on-one coaching from Academy managers.
- Earn SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 through structured lessons and dedicated study time (with 63 & 65 accepted in lieu of 66).
- Deadlines: obtain SIE within 30 days of being hired, and obtain Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days (role requirement).
- Build your network starting at a financial center with interactions across banking customers, small business owners, and higher net worth clients.
- Leverage relationships with one out of two households in the U.S. to help grow your business.
SAFE Act registration requirement
This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Per SAFE Act requirements, employees engaged in the following must:
- Register and submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process.
- Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in immediate termination.

Desired qualifications
- Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE).
- Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience.

- Location: Ann Arbor, MI (onsite)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays
- Shift: 1st shift (United States of America)
