Job Description

Converse County Aging Services is seeking an experienced Finance Director to oversee core financial operations and provide financial support to enable program and organizational decision-making for services supporting older adults in Converse County.

Role Overview

In this onsite role in Douglas, WY 82633, you will manage budgeting and reporting, monitor cash flow and key accounts, maintain accurate financial documentation, and strengthen internal controls. You will also coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial professionals, including support for the annual audit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations.
  • Prepare and monitor organizational budgets.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports for leadership and the Board.
  • Monitor cash flow, revenues, expenditures, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
  • Support payroll and related financial processes.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial professionals.
  • Support the annual audit.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, efficiency, reporting, and accountability.
  • Provide financial information and analysis to support organizational decisions.

Requirements

  • Strong accounting and financial management skills.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial staff and leadership.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger activity.
  • Strong computer and financial software skills.
  • Professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in nonprofit accounting, healthcare, human services, senior services, government, or community-based organizations is highly valued.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant professional experience.
  • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Compensation & Pay Details

  • Starting salary: $70,000 annually (consideration given to experience and qualifications).
  • Pay: From $70,000.00 per year.
