Overview

The Principal Financial Analyst (Level 3) or Senior Principal Financial Analyst (Level 4) role supports program financial management, SOX compliance, and strategic planning within Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems. This on-site position is based in Melbourne, FL, with additional on-site locations in Palmdale, CA, or El Segundo, CA. The role emphasizes accurate forecasting, detailed financial analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to strengthen financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist month-end close by preparing and reviewing journal entries and approving account reconciliations performed by Accounting team members.
  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and documentation efforts.
  • Contribute to program financial management, including forecasting for financials and costs, reporting and analysis, profitability analysis, and working capital analysis such as accounts receivable forecasting, treasury forecasting, unbilled analysis, and aged receivables.
  • Help develop presentations and, on occasion, brief Division leadership.
  • Assist in shaping the Strike Division's Long Range Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan.
  • Collaborate with finance and business management teams to formulate strategies that improve financial performance based on established metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience in business administration, finance, accounting, financial analysis, or equivalent OR Master's degree with 3 years of related experience. Alternatively, Bachelor’s with 8 years or Master’s with 6 years of related experience is acceptable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance as required by the company.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as required by the company.
