Overview

Sterling Pacific Financial seeks a versatile Senior Accountant with strong expertise in financial close and audits. The role leads close and audit processes for related-party partnerships and S corporations across real estate, hospitality, construction, and financial services while handling core accounting functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and year-end closes including reconciliations, accruals, consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Coordinate external audits, prepare documentation, respond to auditor inquiries, and implement SOX-like controls for private entities.
  • Assist with tax return preparation and compliance for partnerships and S corporations.
  • Support AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure GAAP compliance, accurate entity reporting, and cash/investment tracking.
  • Utilize Sage Intacct and advanced Excel; provide training to team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or prior experience as an audit liaison preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years focused on multi-entity close processes and audit support.
  • Demonstrated capability across the full accounting cycle, including tax assistance.
  • Strong knowledge of close methodologies, audit standards, and complex entity structures.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
