The Senior Finance Manager will lead the US finance function for MOLEDAO PTE. LTD., operating in a hybrid setting from New York, NY. The role centers on owning the month-end close and reporting, while serving as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators, and shaping accounting policies and cash operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the US finance function as both a leader and a hands-on contributor.
- Mentor the team, review work, and drive high quality execution.
- Manage month-end close calendars and deliverables across entities and product lines, ensuring precision and completeness.
- Act as the primary finance contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators; coordinate data requests and supporting documentation.
- Assist in preparing audit schedules, performing control walkthroughs, and delivering periodic regulatory reporting.
- Define the accounting logic and mapping rules for new products and market events.
- Ensure policies and practices align with US digital-asset standards and banking-adjacent requirements, including OCC expectations where counterparties are national banks.
- Oversee US banking relationships, including operational accounts, trust or segregated accounts where applicable, and payment rails.
- Support daily cash and fiat operations, including account openings, wires/ACH, checks, cash handling, authorizations, and settlement flows.
- Monitor payment success rates, settlement cut-offs, fees, and related operational risk in fiat movements.
- Develop interfaces between the data platform and the accounting system to accurately record trades, deposits, withdrawals, and P&L movements.
- Draft SOPs and policies to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the main finance contact for internal queries and develop solutions for review and approval.
- Track all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, and timely expense reporting.
- Support ongoing finance operations, including bank account openings and transfers, checks, and cash handling.
Requirements
- More than five years of end-to-end corporate finance experience covering bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Solid understanding of local corporate requirements, including VAT, corporate tax, and audits.
- Strong familiarity with international wire transfers.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Accurate data-entry skills with strong numerical acumen.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Oracle NetSuite.
- High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OCC requirements.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Finance or Accounting with accounting professional qualifications.
