Job Description
Senior IT Financial Analyst role serving as the key finance partner for capital and expense management across multiple IT portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with portfolio leads and project managers to build monthly capital and expense forecasts that reflect expected business performance, including identified risks and opportunities.
- Track and reconcile financial activity by project and portfolio to support accurate reporting, adherence to budgeted spend, and correct accounting treatment.
- Produce monthly IT reporting with variance analysis and partner with IT Leadership to communicate portfolio status and overall financial performance and health.
- Prepare and audit capital expenditure request (CER) approvals, working with project managers and IT Leadership to understand upcoming initiatives.
- Attend CER review meetings and prepare documentation required for corporate finance.
- Handle asset disposal and write-off accounting for retired assets tied to new projects and for projects identified as end of life.
- Provide ad hoc analytical support to business partners, including development of financial models and detailed reporting to support the annual budget and long range plan.
- Help coordinate and consolidate the annual IT Portfolio budgeting and LRP process.
- Complete additional ad hoc analysis to address questions related to IT capital portfolio activity.
- Design and execute analysis for ad hoc questions using Excel and the PeopleSoft finance application.
- Summarize findings clearly and communicate results to executive leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably with demonstrated superior college performance in an analytical field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a financial analysis and planning group.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting methodologies.
- Strong analytical capability, including data synthesis, error checking, reconciliation of own work, and designing analysis to answer targeted questions.
- Detail-oriented approach with drive to get things right.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience with general ledger and accounts payable research and reconciliation, with complete understanding of debits/credits and accrual-based accounting.
- Ability to handle pressure and changing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Trustworthy handling of confidential financial information.
- Reliability (attendance and timeliness) to support consistent daily reporting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and apply independent judgment.
- Strong Excel and Word skills, plus ability to learn back-end software applications, including PeopleSoft Financial Systems and Hyperion.

Salary
- USD 81,000 - 121,800 per year
