Senior Finance Analyst, Commercial

Sysco is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst, Commercial in Houston, TX (onsite) to help drive profitability, process efficiency, cost reduction, and measurable business improvement within the US Foodservice Operations organization. This role partners closely with Operations leadership and corporate FP&A, applying FP&A best practices and strong analytics to support planning, reporting, and executive-level decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Build reporting suites that deliver actionable insights for the Finance and Business teams.
• Partner with field finance teams to develop KPIs that explain performance and support proactive P&L management.
• Provide business insights to corporate FP&A on monthly and quarterly results versus plan and forecast.
• Support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the US Foodservice organization.
• Support the monthly and quarterly business review process.
• Identify margin, cost, and efficiency opportunities across the organization.
• Perform ad-hoc analytics and financial modeling to support business needs.
• Support business transformation metric tracking and connect results to P&L outcomes.
• Use VBA and other tools to create standardized Excel-based reporting that remains flexible for multi-dimensional use.
• Apply data analytics to draw conclusions and present financial and operational insights for timely executive decisions.
• Develop strategic recommendations for business problems and opportunities using data analytics and predictive modeling.

Requirements

• BA or an equivalent combination of education and experience (5+ years) sufficient to perform the essential functions of the role.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a corporate setting, with emphasis on reporting development, financial planning and analysis, business analytics, and financial modeling.
• Strong commercial focus with exposure to multiple business functions and excellent business partnering capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Visual Basic (VB) experience in Excel.
• Experience with data visualization software such as Tableau.
