Job Description
Mount Sinai Doctors seeks a Senior Financial Analyst onsite in Manhattan, NY. The role emphasizes accurate accounting, providing insights to optimize financial, programmatic, and operational decision making, supporting process improvements, and collaborating to prepare the annual budget. The position offers a salary range of USD 75,000 to 115,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Produce timely and precise reporting and analysis of the division's performance against historical results, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans to support informed decision making. Deliverables include monthly productivity and profit/loss statements.
- Track monthly budget variances and coordinate with operational leads to obtain explanations for discrepancies.
- Assist with the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Review ledgers to confirm appropriate fund allocation for faculty and staff and prepare correcting entries when needed.
- Collaborate with accounting staff to ensure revenue and expense items are recorded accurately.
- Support financial modeling to evaluate return on investment for programmatic decisions, including capital investments, faculty recruitment, and new site openings or acquisitions.
- Monitor and reconcile private contracts and other revenue streams on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and submit purchase orders, contracts, change orders, invoices, check requests, petty cash vouchers, travel requests and travel vouchers, fund transfers, and HRTS transactions as necessary.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop the annual budget.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in recurring workflows.
- Assist with special projects and provide analytical support as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance or a related field.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics; Masters degree preferred.
