Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Infrastructure Finance

Amazon's AWS Infrastructure Finance group is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with AWS leadership and internal stakeholders, delivering strategic financial planning, analysis, and business insights to support datacenter operations. This role blends rigorous financial modeling with cross-functional collaboration to help sustain growth within AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance business partner for AWS management and internal teams, offering informed financial guidance
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics
• Oversee FP&A processes, including month-end close; build models, analyze data, and forecast metrics that influence budgets and decisions
• Conduct detailed NPV analyses for strategic initiatives and support ad-hoc financial analyses for projects
• Evaluate business performance to extract key insights that align with objectives
• Monitor control compliance and systems, and develop new processes to support AWS's rapid growth
• Build detailed financial models for business segments, drive initiatives, and identify and implement operational efficiencies
• Lead projects to automate processes and improve overall efficiency

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
• 3+ years analyzing financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy
• 3+ years contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategic planning
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or a bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in a quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
