Job Description
Providence is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a hybrid, full-time day schedule to support service area and ministry teams with clear, actionable financial reporting. In this regional finance role, you will help strengthen decision-making through analysis of performance, trends, variances, and monthly financials, while partnering with clinical leaders on clinician compensation finance work.
What you will do
- Serve as a member of the Washington Montana Providence Clinical Network finance team
- Work with physicians and advanced practice practitioners on compensation-related matters
- Analyze, understand, help develop, and report on clinician compensation systems
- Collect, research, and organize financial and operational data to produce and report monthly financial trends and variances
- Ensure clinician compensation is reconciled and administered according to employment agreements
- Provide guidance, assistance, and training to fellow finance team members and operational leadership
- Use critical thinking daily to support complex financial analysis
Essential skills and functional expectations
- Apply advanced knowledge and skills to complete difficult, complex, and mentally challenging tasks
- Bring knowledge of accrual-based accounting, payroll logistics, and clinician compensation models
- Learn about a range of specialties and understand the clinical context behind financial analysis
What you will need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years analytical and business experience
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration
- Upon hire: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Upon hire: Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
- 2 years healthcare-related experience

Salary is hourly and varies by location:
- Montana (Except Great Falls): Min $34.26, Max $53.18
- Montana (Great Falls): Min $32.45, Max $50.38
- Washington (Western, Except Tukwila): Min $44.35, Max $68.86
- Washington (Tukwila): Min $44.35, Max $68.86
- Washington (Eastern): Min $37.86, Max $58.78
- Washington (Southeastern): Min $39.67, Max $61.58
Base pay is shown. Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
