Senior Financial Controller

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organization’s financial strategy to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to assess strategic opportunities, including investments, expansions, and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Build and maintain long-range financial models, forecasts, and budgeting processes.
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, reporting, internal controls, audits, human resources, inventory planning, and treasury activities.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and deliver insights to inform key business decisions.
• Strengthen systems, tools, and processes to support a scalable finance organization.
• Exhibit strong analytical capabilities and data-driven decision making.
• Direct capital planning and the allocation of resources.
• Drive continuous improvement across accounting and financial operations.
• Develop and implement financial policies that enhance compliance, efficiency, and accountability.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and influence organizational direction.
• Mentor and lead a high-performing finance team/IM, fostering collaboration and excellence.
• Assess future talent needs and build a team capable of supporting organizational growth.
• Maintain executive-level communication and presence.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, regulatory standards, and internal controls.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and financial institutions.
• Develop and oversee risk mitigation strategies.
• Demonstrate high integrity and commitment to compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• MBA or CMA certification is a plus.
• 8 to 12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including substantial work as a Senior Controller.
• Strong proficiency in GAAP, financial reporting, and complex financial analysis.
• Solid experience with ERP systems and modern financial tools.
• Proven ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to executives and non-financial stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• Background in commodities markets, including precious metals, pricing dynamics, hedging strategies, and inventory valuation.
• Integrated Business Planning IBP experience, covering cross-functional planning, demand alignment, and financial integration.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or other operationally complex industries.
