Job Description

The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis role at Irca Group is a hands-on position focused on shaping how the Americas business plans, forecasts, and understands performance. Reporting to the Director, FP&A, you will oversee budgeting and forecasting cycles while delivering variance analysis and profitability visibility across plants, products, and customers. The work includes partnering across Commercial, Operations, Procurement, Accounting, and Group Finance to support pricing, sourcing, and investment decisions.

What you’ll own

  • Lead the bottom-up annual budget, interim forecasts, and monthly outlooks for the Americas, including Gross Margin estimates and SG&A costs, and translate the methodology into monthly performance review rhythms.
  • Analyze monthly results, investigate variances, and collect and synthesize business insights into clear, leadership-ready takeaways.
  • Explain monthly variances in plain business language and create the financial content used for leadership and Board decks; support business cases and integration planning for acquired businesses as part of the M&A agenda.
  • Automate data flows and convert one-off analyses into recurring reporting processes.
  • Build and own SKU (product) and customer-level profitability models that connect revenue, raw material inputs, conversion costs, and operating expenses, partnering with Pricing, Sales, Procurement, and Operations to identify true margin drivers and close the gap between contracted and actual margins.
  • Compare contractual pricing assumptions with actual supplier costs, identify margin leakage and unprofitable contracts, quantify financial impact, and provide recurring visibility that sharpens pricing and procurement decisions.
  • Track and validate Procurement savings initiatives.
  • Review GL accounts, cost centers, and P&L mapping; correct misclassifications at the root with Accounting, HR, and headquarters, and embed standardized allocation frameworks to keep monthly results accurate and comparable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering.
  • 3+ years in FP&A, commercial finance, or cost accounting, ideally in manufacturing, food, or ingredients.
  • Hands-on experience building and analyzing detailed, multi-site P&Ls.
  • Experience investigating manufacturing variances, reviewing GL and cost-center allocations, and quantifying financial impact.
  • Experience building product- and customer-level profitability models to support pricing and customer portfolio decisions.
  • Bottom-up forecasting and budgeting experience, including designing methodologies and coordinating inputs across functions.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; ERP systems and BI tools such as Power BI are a strong plus.
  • Ability to move from detailed analysis to a crisp executive narrative and influence stakeholders at every level.
  • Hands-on, curious, ownership-driven style with the ability to stay detailed without losing the bigger picture.
  • Italian or Spanish is a plus.
