Job Description
Hybrid role in Chicago with an expected salary range of $95,000 to $115,000 per year, plus eligible incentive compensation. You’ll support the Financial Planning & Analysis group and help drive consolidated forecasting, reporting, capital planning, and RWA analysis for the US Region, while preparing investor, shareholder, and Board materials.
You’ll also have access to a broad benefits package and wellbeing support, including flexibility through a hybrid arrangement (at least 3 days per week on-site in the Chicago office, with remaining days remote).
What you’ll do
- Contribute to consolidated forecasting, reporting, capital planning, and RWA analysis for the US Region.
- Prepare investor, shareholder, and Board reports, helping shape the financial narrative for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop monthly and quarterly financial reports, Board reporting, and analyses to support US Region reporting needs.
- Provide clear, insightful analysis that highlights business drivers and communicates the financial story effectively.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver in-depth expense analysis and act as the expense subject matter expert (SME).
- Support quarterly earnings memos and review competitor results to identify industry trends and benchmark performance.
- Monitor ongoing business activities for impacts to planning and forecasting deliverables and communicate changes to the VP, Financial Planning & Analysis, US Region as appropriate.
- Create executive-level presentations summarizing US Region forecasts, delivering targeted financial information and analysis to the CFO, US Region.
- Own selected top-level forecasting activities and build relationships within the global finance team to gather and interpret forecast inputs.
- Handle ad hoc requests from stakeholders, supporting reporting requirements across the US Region, Corporate Treasury, and Risk, with timely and accurate responses.
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning or Financial Reporting, preferably within the banking industry.
- Strong MS Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and data manipulation, with comfort working with large datasets.
- Ability to build executive-level PowerPoint presentations that clearly communicate financials and business performance.
- Experience with Essbase and business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI (preferred, but not required).
- Solid understanding of banking basics, including a bank’s balance sheet and profit & loss (P&L) statements.
- Self-starter mindset to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working under tight deadlines, including occasional weekend work during quarter-end reporting cycles.
