Sr Manager FP&A - Capital Finance, New Stores

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sr Financial Analysts and Financial Analysts tasked with evaluating new store, remodel, expansion, and lease business cases, delivering insights and recommendations to influence investment decisions.
• Shape and drive Target's annual capital investment strategy across new stores and remodels to optimize guest experience, operating effectiveness, and financial returns.
• Partner cross-functionally with Properties, Construction, Real Estate, Stores, Supply Chain, Assets Protection, Accounting, and Finance to assess opportunities and execute strategic investments.
• Immerse in the business to become an expert and deliver enterprise financial insights plus external perspectives to partners.
• Own and continuously improve financial processes and analytical models that support portfolio planning, capital allocation, and investment decisions, including forecasting, annual goals, capital spend approvals, business case development, long-range planning, and store valuation analyses for new stores and remodels.

Requirements

• Minimum 6+ years of finance and business experience; retail and financial valuation experience is a plus.
• Ability to drive enterprise connections and advance multiple initiatives concurrently.
• Experience in developing, coaching, and inspiring talent.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize key stories for senior leaders.
• Strategic influencing grounded in facts and data.
• Curious and credible thought leader with a data-driven mindset.
