SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

NAVAIR is hiring a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst to support the Comptroller Department within the Business and Financial Management Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. This onsite role at Naval Air Station San Diego, CA focuses on consulting across business and financial management functions, analyzing budget and program data, and helping ensure approved budgets are governed by applicable legal and regulatory controls.

In this supervisory capacity, you will translate financial information into actionable decision points, evaluate costs and benefits of management approaches, and coordinate priorities to deliver timely work alongside regular, recurring responsibilities. The role is offered with a salary range of USD 121,585 to USD 158,062 per year, with the position open 09/25/2026 and closing 09/28/2026.

What you will do

• Serve as a consultant to the command, the comptroller, and other management officials across business and financial management needs.
• Perform or advise on work involving budget administration phases and systems.
• Analyze financial and program data to identify trends, problems, and key decision points.
• Assess and recommend cost and benefit outcomes for alternative approaches to financial management for organizational programs and administrative operations.
• Plan work, set priorities, and schedule tasks to ensure priority assignments are completed effectively and expeditiously without disrupting regular and recurring work.
• Implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets, while providing guidance on effective and efficient methods for acquiring and using funds to support programs and organizational activities.
