Tax Manager

Proactive Tax Manager positioned within Ring's tax function, partnering with business teams to translate the business vision into comprehensive tax solutions. The role emphasizes leveraging AI and automation to boost efficiency and scale tax operations. This onsite role is based in Seattle, WA, with an annual salary range of USD 89,900 to 157,200.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Ring's business teams across Business Development, Finance, Legal, Accounting, and product groups to support current offerings, upcoming launches, and international expansion plans with targeted tax guidance.
• Engage throughout project lifecycles, from planning and research through modeling, implementation, and communicating tax implications to business leaders and senior management.
• Work with broader Amazon Tax teams including reporting and compliance, transfer pricing, indirect tax, and tax provision to deliver coordinated, cross-functional tax solutions.
• Research international tax issues, author both technical and non-technical memoranda, and maintain knowledge of global and OECD tax developments relevant to Ring operations.
• Manage relations with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities and assist in operationalizing tax strategies as the business evolves.
• Support AI driven transformation and process innovation by applying automation tools such as automated documentation, paved-road assessments, and tax requirement generators to increase efficiency and scale tax operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• Juris Doctor (JD) or LL.M. in Taxation.
• Experience in a large public accounting firm or in a multinational corporate tax department.
