Job Description
On-site Vice President of Finance in Durant, OK, directing financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and risk management for Focus Management Group's hospitality portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust financial strategies that align with growth and operational goals.
- Oversee preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports to deliver actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Manage cash flow, capital structure, construction job costing, PIPs, and Premier Development and Construction accounts.
- Lead the finance department, including hiring, mentoring, and evaluating team members to build a high-performing, collaborative group.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls to mitigate risk and preserve integrity.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and marketing to ensure financial planning supports business initiatives.
- Drive cost-management initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Support strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships with financial due diligence and analysis.
- Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring adherence to GAAP and tax regulations.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and daily bank balances; supervise receivables, payables, tax filings, and investment activities to optimize liquidity.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable financial targets and KPIs across business units.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in the Accommodation and Food Services industry or a related sector.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience managing finance teams and collaborating with executive leadership.
- Experience with Solomon, FRX, Profit Sword, Hotel Effectiveness, Profit Sage.
- Strong communication, leadership, strategic thinking, and technical skills.
