Job Description
The Executive-level VP of Finance / CFO will guide financial operations for Kennesaw Transportation, Inc, overseeing reporting, forecasting, financing, and accounting within a trucking and logistics, asset-based environment. This onsite role in Rydal, GA offers a salary range of USD 77,324 to 93,121 per year. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least seven years of progressive finance leadership are required, with preference for candidates who bring trucking, transportation, or fleet sector experience.
Responsibilities
- Direct all financial operations across the organization
- Oversee financial reporting processes
- Steer forecasting activities and long-term financial planning
- Manage financing strategies and relationships with lenders
- supervise accounting functions and teams
- Coordinate financial consolidations
- Oversee general ledger accounting
- Lead budgeting cycles and financial planning
- Optimize cash flow management
- Maintain banking relationships and lender communications
- Prepare and submit lender reporting
- Structure equipment financing arrangements
- Strengthen internal controls and compliance
- Guide and develop the accounting team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 7 to 10 years of progressive finance or accounting leadership experience
- Trucking, transportation, logistics, or fleet experience strongly preferred
- Robust background in financial reporting, consolidations, forecasting, budgeting, and general ledger accounting
- Experience with banking, debt financing, equipment loans, and cash flow management
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical abilities
