VP of Finance/CFO-Transportation

Executive VP of Finance / CFO role, onsite in Dalton, GA, overseeing all financial operations for a trucking and transportation company.

Responsibilities

• Direct all financial operations, including reporting, forecasting, financing, and accounting functions.
• Manage financial reporting processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness of statements.
• Oversee consolidations and general ledger accounting activities.
• Coordinate budgeting processes across the organization and drive forecasting accuracy.
• Monitor cash flow, manage liquidity, and oversee banking relationships.
• Lead lender reporting and maintain financing and debt covenants as needed.
• Oversee equipment financing programs and related capital allocation.
• Strengthen internal controls and compliance framework.
• Lead and develop the accounting team to ensure high performance and professional growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 7 to 10 years of progressive finance or accounting leadership experience preferred.
• Trucking, transportation, logistics, or fleet experience strongly preferred.
• Strong background in financial reporting, consolidations, forecasting, budgeting, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with banking, financing, debt reporting, equipment loans, and cash flow management.
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.

Compensation

• Salary: USD 77,324 - 93,121 per year
