The Head of Finance & Administration will lead Rhoden Roofing's financial and administrative operations, overseeing accounting, payroll, job closeout, recruiting and onboarding, vendor management, and internal controls. This role carries responsibility for finance reporting and strategic planning to support sustained growth.
Responsibilities
- Finance and accounting leadership: oversee the accounting function including accounts receivable, accounts payable, accounting support, financial accuracy, internal controls, and timely reporting.
- Job closeout and margin integrity: own and enhance the job closeout process to ensure gross margin accuracy, commissions, job costing, and company reporting are sound.
- Monthly financial reporting: manage the monthly leadership-packaging, ensuring P&L accuracy, gross margin visibility, cash position, AR/AP status, and job closeout trends.
- Operational financial insight: interpret the numbers, identify issues and trends, and help leaders understand what needs to change within the business.
- Payroll administration: oversee payroll coordination processes, building a workflow that is accurate, timely, and scalable.
- People and administrative infrastructure: lead recruiting and onboarding administration, coordinate with outside HR partners, and ensure consistent employee administration.
- Vendor, insurance, and contract administration: manage insurance coordination, contracts and renewals, information requests, and vendor management.
- Growth readiness: design financial and administrative processes to support future locations, integrations, and ongoing company growth.
Requirements
- Proven accounting and finance leadership with Controller-level capability.
- Experience with QuickBooks is required.
- Track record of leading accounting teams and improving financial processes.
- Ability to own month-end reporting, financial controls, gross margin reporting, payroll administration, and job closeout processes.
- Strong communication skills to translate financial information for operational leaders.
- Construction, trades, roofing, project-based business, or job-costing experience preferred but not required.
- CPA, CMA, MBA or equivalent advanced credential required.
- Sound judgment, integrity, confidentiality, and leadership maturity.

How You Will Lead
You will report to the CEO and collaborate with the COO/Integrator, a fractional CFO, and the Leadership Team. The Head of Finance & Administration will own internal financial data and the reporting cadence while partnering with the fractional CFO on banking relationships, debt, financing, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
