Associate Financial Analyst

Northrop Grumman’s Space sector is hiring an Associate Financial Analyst to support the Program Finance team in Chandler, AZ (onsite). This early-career role focuses on program financial analysis and reporting, including Earned Value Management activities, EAC preparation, and support for compliance audits.

Working alongside cross-functional partners across Operations, Engineering, and Program Management, you will help ensure financial data is delivered with accuracy and timeliness while meeting IPMR/IPMDAR reporting requirements and internal controls.

Role focus

• Support program Earned Value Management in line with IPMR/IPMDAR data reporting requirements, including preparation of earned value deliverables.
• Assist with baseline efforts, including Initial Baseline Reviews (IBRs) with customers.
• Prepare Estimates at Completion (EACs) using earned value analysis, including hands-on updates and revisions.
• Compile and prepare financial data for internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecasts.
• Provide support for internal and external compliance audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Operations, Engineering, and Program Management.
• Maintain a high commitment to quality, compliance, and internal controls aligned with company values and ethics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with 0-2 years of related experience.
• Majored in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred qualifications

• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Prior experience in the aerospace and defense industry.

Compensation and application timing

• Salary range: $54,400 to $81,600 per year
