Chief Financial Officer

Mid-Missouri Energy, LLC is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to deliver strategic and operational leadership across the company’s financial functions. The CFO will collaborate with the CEO and the Board of Directors to support financial stability, growth, and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present financial reports in accordance with GAAP to the CEO and Board of Directors (BOD)
• Manage the Accounting and Information Technology department
• Participate actively in risk management for the company
• Assist in formulating the company’s strategic direction
• Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place
• Oversee external audit and tax filing activities
• Handle responsibility for sales, use, excise, feed grains, Forms 1099, and other tax reports and filings
• Review purchase orders and accounts payable invoices, and authorize payments
• Maintain active involvement in 45Z tax credit and prevailing wage compliance
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end general ledger closings
• Lead cost accounting and financial analysis
• Ensure federal and state clean energy compliance reporting requirements are met
• Oversee federal and state grant and tax credit reporting
• Monitor cash and funding availability, including margin account requirements and other related cash issues
• Conduct in-person and electronic communication with shareholders
• Review and analyze capital expenditures for ROI
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
• Oversee company payroll
• Manage quarterly ethanol industry benchmark reporting, including analysis and board presentation
• Work with department leaders to prepare, integrate, and track information
• Complete any additional tasks assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• 5 years of CFO or Controller experience, including management experience
• Knowledge of LLC / partnership federal and multistate income tax is beneficial
• Commodities experience is beneficial
• Strong leadership, business, and accounting skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Accuracy, honesty, and integrity traits
• Self-motivated, hard-working, team-oriented approach
• Proficiency in Word and Excel
• Excellent organizational skills

Compensation

USD 150,000 - 165,000 per year.
