Chief Financial Officer
Job Description
The Chief Financial Officer will lead HomeInvest.com’s Multifamily Funds, owning financial strategy and day-to-day finance operations across the fund portfolio. This role focuses on capital planning, reporting integrity, regulatory compliance, and performance optimization to support sustainable growth and investor returns.
Financial Strategy and Fund Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategies for existing and future multifamily funds, ensuring alignment with business objectives and impact goals.
- Collaborate with leadership to support fund raising activities, capital calls, distributions, debt sourcing, and banking relationships across all multifamily assets.
- Direct forecasting, liquidity management, treasury activities, and capital expenditure (CapEx) planning across the portfolio to maximize profitability and asset value.
Underwriting, Due Diligence, and Deal Structuring
- Oversee underwriting and financial due diligence for prospective multifamily acquisitions and support fund expansion initiatives.
- Lead valuation assessments and contribute to deal structuring for transactions and portfolio growth.
Accounting, Compliance, and Controls
- Manage fund and asset-level accounting with strict adherence to GAAP, applicable tax structures, and real estate investment regulations.
- Establish internal controls and risk management frameworks, including COSO standards, tailored to real estate funds.
- Lead compliance programs designed for investment fund requirements and ongoing regulatory alignment.
Reporting, Performance Metrics, and Investor Communication
- Own high-level reporting processes, including transparent financial statements, profit and loss analysis, and fund performance metrics.
- Provide key investment performance indicators such as IRR, Equity Multiple, and NOI to executive leadership and investors.
Impact Integration and Team Leadership
- Integrate corporate social responsibility and impact-focused metrics into financial modeling and performance tracking.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing finance and fund accounting team, building a culture of innovation, fiscal responsibility, and continuous growth.
Required Qualifications
- Proven senior leadership experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or Director of Fund Accounting within real estate private equity, multifamily asset management, or real estate fund management.
- In-depth knowledge of fund structures, capital calls, waterfall distribution models, investor reporting, and real estate debt and equity structures.
- Strong ability to build complex financial projection models, perform sensitivity analyses, and produce long-term valuation forecasts for multifamily assets.
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, real estate tax strategies, risk frameworks, and regulatory compliance for investment funds.
- Alignment with the “Believe in More” philosophy and a demonstrated passion for using financial leadership to create positive social and community impact.
- Executive presence and strong negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to investors, board members, and operational teams.
Compensation and Location
- Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL (onsite)
- Salary: USD 130,000 - 225,000 per year
