Chief Financial Officer

HFE International is hiring a Chief Financial Officer in Tucson, AZ to lead GAAP compliance, cash flow forecasting, and finance support for government-contract operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, document, and maintain procedures and policy updates to support ongoing GAAP compliance.
• Review and correct accounting transactions to ensure alignment with GAAP.
• Run month-end and year-end close activities on a timely schedule.
• Produce monthly statistics for cash flow and project performance for the management team.
• Set up, verify, and validate that accruals are recorded with correct debit and credit treatment.
• Manage and coordinate audit communications with DCMA/DCAA, State and Local Governments, and prime contractors.
• Calculate applicable rates, including G&A and fringe benefits, in line with DCMA/DCAA requirements.
• Create future-year projections using current statistics and sales activity.
• Support supply chain decision-making through forecasting and related financial analysis.
• Provide guidance on tax advice as part of the finance function.

Requirements

• Current and active CPA, CMA, and/or CFPO qualification.
• Experience with inventory management and control.
• Experience working with Government contracts and audit requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using M1 MRP software.
• Experience in small companies.
