Position overview: The Senior Commercial Portfolio Manager - Equipment Finance (Underwriter) assesses the creditworthiness of assigned customers, monitors accounts, and approves or recommends credit within established guidelines. You will analyze financial statements and perform ratio and trend analysis to determine financing eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Draft high quality credit narratives to support new and existing loans.
  • Review applications, financial statements, credit reports, and related documentation.
  • Spread business and personal financial statements and tax returns using Moody's software to track multi-year trends and ratios.
  • Analyze cash flow from operations, distinguishing recurring from nonrecurring sources.
  • Research industry trends and identify associated risks.
  • Conduct collateral analysis across accounts receivable, inventory, real estate, and investments.
  • Pull credit reports and gather KYC information for decision making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor delinquency, delinquency trends, and repossession activity.
  • Prepare written recommendations on loan approvals and propose alternative loan structures when appropriate.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced analysts, coaching as needed.
  • Lead special projects as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial credit underwriting

This position is based at Huntington corporate offices. The role can be located at any Huntington corporate office, with onsite expectations in Minnetonka, MN.

Exempt status

Compensation range

Compensation range: $63,000 - $154,000 annual salary
