Job Description
Global Sight and Sound offers a leadership role that blends hands-on financial leadership with strategic influence. This Director of Finance position is primarily remote, with residency in Southeast Wisconsin, and provides direct collaboration with ownership. You will drive cash flow, forecasting, budgeting, job costing, and financial reporting to deliver clear visibility across the business while shaping the company’s financial trajectory.

Compensation and Location
SALARY: USD 120,000 - 140,000 per year
LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI (remote). Primarily remote with Southeast Wisconsin residency.

Responsibilities
- Manage company cash flow and financial forecasting
- Develop and maintain annual budgets and financial projections
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Conduct job costing analysis and profitability reviews
- Analyze labor utilization, employee costing, and operational efficiency
- Manage sales and use tax filings and compliance
- Work closely with ownership to review company financial performance and strategic planning
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Manage payroll processing and payroll systems
- Oversee banking relationships and company bank accounts
- Assist with financing and line-of-credit management as needed
- Manage vendor programs and payment terms
- Support annual tax preparation and coordination with external accounting firm
- Maintain financial accuracy between operational and accounting systems
- Manage company insurance programs including general liability, workers compensation, vehicle insurance, and other business policies
- Oversee 401(k) program administration
- Support HR related administrative functions including onboarding and offboarding processes
- Manage and support Accounting & Administrative Coordinator role
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required
- Master’s degree and/or CPA designation preferred
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, controller, or operational finance leadership roles
- Strong understanding of financial statements
- Strong understanding of cash flow management
- Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting
- Strong understanding of job costing
- Strong understanding of payroll and accounting operations
- Experience working in a small-to-mid-sized business environment preferred
- Construction, trades, integration, service, or project-based business experience highly preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with both leadership and operational teams
