Job Description

JPMorganChase's Merchant Services Controller - Associate sits within the Commercial & Investment Bank and is based onsite in Newark, Delaware. The role blends product and legal-entity control duties with a focus on analytics and cross-functional collaboration to support major business transformation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support finance workstreams for strategic initiatives such as platform migrations, product launches, billing and reporting enhancements, and legal-entity simplification, covering requirements, design, UAT, cutover, and implementation.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to the business, business managers, and senior finance leadership.
  • Own the monthly and quarterly close processes for the area.
  • Partner with the business to implement robust controls and new business initiatives.
  • Coordinate across support functions to ensure timely and accurate resolution of control and reporting issues.
  • Lead or contribute to finance driven transformation projects and larger cross-business programs.
  • Triage and execute ad hoc requests in a dynamic environment, balancing day-to-day deliverables with project milestones and deadlines.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or a related area.
  • Experience supporting finance workstreams on projects such as new product implementations and platform enhancements, including requirements, documenting controls, executing UAT, tracking issues, and providing support under guidance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience producing P&L and managing the month-end close process.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a focus on controls.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
