Job Description
Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Finance Manager to join the Seattle-based SMB Financing (SMBF) lending business. This finance leadership role acts as a CFO-level partner within SMBF, owning the portfolio and directing long- and short-term financial planning, controllership, and reporting while partnering across finance, treasury, accounting, and product teams to drive growth from onsite Seattle. The position offers a salary range of USD 95,400 to 163,200 per year.
Responsibilities
- Oversee medium- and long-range financial planning, maintain rigorous controllership, and develop and report weekly financial and operational performance metrics, providing analytical and leadership support.
- Serve as a primary risk and controllership gateway for the payments business.
- Allocate a portion of time to ad hoc analyses to support evolving business needs.
- Partner with finance, treasury, accounting, and product teams to drive growth and strengthen controllership.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail while managing multiple competing priorities.
- Apply strong analytical capabilities to business challenges.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience across multiple finance and accounting roles.
- More than six years applying key performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- Six or more years building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
- Six or more years participating in continuous improvement projects to scale controllership with measurable results.
- At least five years leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
- Six or more years solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analyses, and recommendations with proven impact on savings, operations, or customer benefits.
- MBA or CPA credentials.
- Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
