Job Description
Hoehn Motors in Temecula, CA onsite is seeking a Finance Specialist to drive finance and insurance programs for new and used vehicle customers, with compensation of USD 17 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Safeguards gross profit by coordinating financing to prevent external lenders from eroding selling margins.
- Follows selling, administrative, and organizational processes established by Sales Manager and General Manager.
- Cultivates lender relationships that strengthen the customer’s connection to the dealership.
- Drives additional revenue through the sale of vehicle service contracts, GAP coverage, maintenance plans, and aftermarket items.
- Maintains control of all paperwork until submission to the Business Office.
- Manages all vehicle sale paperwork, including customer signatures and payoff/insurance details.
- Converts cash transactions to financed deals.
- Establishes and sustains strong relationships with multiple finance sources, including the manufacturer.
- Processes finance and lease deals accurately through lender channels to obtain approvals.
- Maintains ethical and professional business conduct.
- Handles all federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transactions.
- Maintains knowledge of and complies with federal, state, and local regulations affecting new/used vehicle and finance operations.
- Completes required sales and lease paperwork promptly and efficiently.
- Verifies titles, lien information, taxes, and related items before forwarding to accounting.
- Offers customers thorough explanations of factory and dealership service procedures and policies.
- Provides comprehensive explanation of all deal documents and answers questions about sale paperwork.
- Oversees the alternative finance source program to maintain multiple available options.
- Establishes and maintains a process to ensure full turnover of deals to the Finance department.
- Delivers current information on finance and lease programs to the sales team and managers on an ongoing basis.
- Keeps up to date on costs and details of all products offered for sale.
- Educates the sales staff on the benefits of financing, insurance, and extended service programs.
- Collaborates with sales managers to secure a reasonable profit on each sale.
- Coordinates finance forecasts with the sales department to reach target penetration and income levels.
- Ensures timely collection of all sales-related fees.
- Develops and enforces guidelines to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Supervises and trains designated backups to maintain efficiency and profitability during absence.
- Maintains an up-to-date supply of contracts and paperwork required to finalize auto deals.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Maintains a clean and professional work environment.
- Manages funds collection from lenders, customers, and the manufacturer for all vehicle and product sales.
- Regularly meets with Sales Management and Business Office staff to review accounts receivable schedules.
Requirements
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Ability to perform arithmetic in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
- Ability to apply common sense in carrying out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables in less standardized situations.
- Ability to interpret instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- State sales license required.
- Valid driver's license required.
