Job Description

Lever Point offers a remote Financial Administrator role focused on delivering accurate financial, compliance, performance, and treasury reporting for retail alternative clients, while supporting SEC reporting needs for BDCs. This position blends fund accounting responsibilities with structured reporting workflows, coordination with internal teams, and periodic interaction with rating agencies.

In this role, you will help prepare complex financial statements and reports, support quarterly and annual deliverables for advisors and the SEC, and maintain strong documentation aligned with authoritative accounting guidance. You will also contribute to budgeting and management fee calculations, ensuring timely, accurate client and investor reporting at both fund and portfolio company levels.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare complex financial statements and related reports for fund securities, including Forms N-Q, 10-K, 10-Q, N-23C-2, NSAR, N-CSR, N-CEN, N-PX, and 24f-2 on quarterly, semi-annual, and annual cycles for distribution to advisors and the SEC.
  • Compile quarterly reporting materials for Board Members.
  • Prepare and validate client accounts, financial statements, audit deliverables, and related reporting (including accruals, tax packages, and investor reporting) in line with service level agreements.
  • Analyze and reconcile investment activity and financial data (cash, expenses, income, gains, withholding) to ensure accuracy and timeliness of client and investor reporting.
  • Monitor fund performance using internal tracking systems and distribute performance information as needed.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior associates and complete preliminary reviews to support adherence to department standards.
  • Prepare and maintain fund budgets, adjusting for fluctuations in assets, fees, and expenses.
  • Monitor and update fund expense budgets, including advisor reimbursements and waivers.
  • Calculate monthly management fees and obtain appropriate approvals.
  • Process fund expenses, including management and 12b-1 fees, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and supporting calculation accuracy.
  • Ensure SEC filing financial results and related disclosures are accurate and compliant with applicable accounting standards.
  • Maintain and support documentation of policies and procedures in accordance with authoritative accounting guidance.
  • Act as a first-level escalation point for issues, resolving matters as appropriate.
  • Interact regularly with rating agencies by releasing portfolio holdings, answering surveys, or providing fund information.
  • Maintain daily contact with the Financial Administration team regarding fund financial statements, reports, and compliance.
  • May perform other duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with fund accounting or fund administration.
  • Equivalent education and experience will be considered.

Compensation

USD 65,000 - 70,000 per year (remote).
