This role supports the CFO Regulated Entity group, focusing on accounting, regulatory reporting, intercompany activity, controls, and automation across multiple legal entities. Responsibilities
- Support month end reporting and control processes for multiple legal entities, including variance analysis, revenue monitoring, reporting, and board report preparation.
- Reconcile customer data and collaborate with the sales team to rectify discrepancies.
- Assist with annual audits of regulated entities, providing transaction support and narratives of business processes and ensuring timely auditor follow-up.
- Communicate and collaborate with business operations, Regulatory Controllers, FP&A, and other accounting and tax teams.
- Review quarterly, semi annual, and annual regulatory reports filed with U.S. or foreign regulators.
- Review annual financial statements and related footnotes in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
- Perform daily capital stress testing for regulated entities and review monthly and quarterly stress testing for consistency.
- Monitor intercompany agreements to ensure alignment with business growth and expectations.
- Ensure internal controls for the area of responsibility are executed effectively.
- Identify and implement process improvements to build efficiencies and strengthen internal controls for the CFO team.
- Drive automation projects with the team, focusing on efficiency and reduction of operational risk.
- Handle ad hoc requests and special projects as they arise.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of relevant accounting and reporting experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills
- Microsoft Power BI/Power Query or other data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.) strongly desired
- Strong quantitative and data manipulation skills with the ability to work with large data sets and succinctly summarize conclusions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to support others
- Proactive engagement and ownership of assignments
- Strong professional ethics
