Financial Analyst

Based in Herndon, Virginia, this onsite Financial Analyst position at MANTECH supports the PMO with financial operations, labor tracking, and billing coordination across multiple programs. You will collaborate with customer finance teams and subcontractors to ensure accurate timesheet processing, charge code administration, and timely project closeout support.

Responsibilities

• Lead PCA and billing support operations across several projects and programs, handling timesheet reconciliation, ServiceNow approvals, charge code governance, and labor-hour tracking to maintain compliance and financial accuracy.
• Monitor financial performance and workforce utilization by tracking Minimum Standard Hours, subcontractor burn rates, CAPT activity, LWOP, and special project labor hours, delivering analytical reporting and actionable recommendations.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations to management.
• Support financial management and reporting activities through the preparation of PMR financial slides, maintenance of finance spreadsheets, CAPT submissions/corrections, and reconciliation of employee and subcontractor timesheets.
• Collaborate with customer finance teams, subcontractors, partners, and internal stakeholders to support project closeouts, SLA reviews, demand reviews, and financial reconciliation activities.
• Apply strong analytical, budgeting, and advanced Excel skills to identify discrepancies and drive accuracy.
• Process timesheet and project adjustments and maintain financial records to support overall program financial operations.
• Perform special projects and analyses as requested by management or other stakeholders, including ad-hoc leadership requests such as resource analysis.
• Travel locally between customer buildings and support temporary assignments as required, with coverage support as part of a team operating from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on an eight-hour shift.

Requirements

• HS Diploma with 11+ years of relevant experience, OR associate’s degree with 9+ years, OR Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills in budgeting, financial tracking, and labor reconciliation within a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reporting, financial tracking, and reconciliation functionalities.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and financial processes simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven experience collaborating with subcontracts, partners, program teams, and customer finance organizations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience using ServiceNow for timesheet monitoring and approvals.
• Experience supporting government or contract-based financial operations.
• Familiarity with CAPT processes and PMR reporting requirements.
• Experience supporting project closeouts and SLA reviews.

Clearance Requirements

• Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
• Must be able to move and traverse within and between buildings and offices.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer.
