Financial Controller

Grant-Shannon invites a results-driven Financial Controller to join our team in Edina, MN on a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities

• Lead accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
• Manage the full AR cycle and month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain accurate financial statements and reconciliations
• Develop and enforce internal controls and accounting policies
• Oversee payroll in coordination with HR
• Direct internal or external bookkeeping resources
• Serve as primary liaison for CPAs, auditors, and banking partners
• Provide financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and leadership insights
• Monitor cash flow and working capital; identify risks and opportunities for improvement
• Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation
• Support shareholder financing programs; manage loans and debt payments
• Prepare quarterly shareholder updates
• Assist with distributions and the annual stock sale process
• Help shareholders understand financial aspects of ownership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5–10 years of accounting experience; Controller experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and internal controls
• Experience in financial or professional services preferred
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Clear communication skills for non-financial audiences
• Demonstrated ownership and ability to work independently
• Interest in building and improving processes
